Over 50 years of expertise in polyurethane processing
Hennecke-OMS was founded under the name "Impianti OMS" in the late 1960s during the expansion of the polyurethane foam industry. The aim was to produce high quality continuous production lines for polyurethane-based flexible and hard foam applications. The product portfolio quickly expanded to cover a broad spectrum of polyurethane foam machines which are used in countless applications across the world. In over 50 years of business, Hennecke-OMS has gradually evolved into the global leader for the continuous production of sandwich panels. Today, Hennecke-OMS focuses its business on producing plant technology for the manufacture of sandwich panels with a core structure of polyurethane or mineral wool, as well as the manufacture of polyurethane insulating panels. In addition, Hennecke-OMS offers its customers a range of well-established low-pressure metering machines. Right from the beginning, the Hennecke-OMS production facilities at the company headquarters in Verano Brianza, close to the economic hub of Milan, paid particular attention to technical innovations, cost-effect solutions and uncompromising product quality. More than 140 highly motivated staff work at the 18,000 m² site on dependable product solutions for the polyurethane industry. Hennecke-OMS is a member of the Hennecke GROUP, which is made up of twelve companies situated in the most important economic centers and markets in the world .
Important milestones in the 50 year company history
1969
Hennecke-OMS was founded in Seregno under the name "Officine Meccaniche Seregnesi" (OMS). The founding members were Vittorio Mariani, Gaetano Lombardini and Paolo Riva. Within a short time, the young company developed into specialists in furniture manufacture, flexible panel material and high quality imitation wood.
1975
Transfer of the production facilities to the current location in Verano Brianza near Milan and focus on production and processing plants for the polyurethane industry.
1982
Hennecke-OMS sells machine and plant technology on the Chinese market and invests at an early stage in the development of superior hard and software systems for controlling machine technology. The company's own production department devotes itself to the continuous development of stirrer and high-pressure mixheads.
1992
Expansion of the company's site in Verano Brianza to a total of 8000 m². The new office buildings accommodate a state-of-the-art engineering department which works exclusively using CAD support, which was groundbreaking at this time.
1996
Further extension of the production capacities at the site in Verano Brianza to a total of 11,000 m² and award of the first quality certification ISO 9002. The next generation follow in the footsteps of the company's founders: Andrea Mariani and Enrico Lombardini take over the operational business of the company.
2000
Building up know-how in production plants for making polyurethane insulating panels to effectively insulate industrial and residential buildings, as well as increased international presence through the establishment of a global sales and after sales network.
2009
Hennecke-OMS celebrates its 40th anniversary and further extends its expertise in sandwich panel applications. This includes the planning and manufacture of special cutting and handling systems (downstream equipment) for large scale production of polyurethane insulating panels.
2011
Considerable growth in the market share of production plants for making insulating panels for the construction industry, due to the increased demand for effective heat insulation for residential and industrial buildings. Hennecke-OMS is one of the few manufacturers on the market to deliver its customers the entire production line. Further extension of the production facilities in Verano Brianza to 18,000 m².
2017
The acquisition of Impianti OMS S.p.A. by the international Hennecke GROUP and the associated accumulation of the product portfolio in the field of sandwich panel plant technology makes Hennecke-OMS the global market leader in this special segment of polyurethane processing. Since then, Hennecke-OMS has been successively expanding its core business in the field of sandwich panel plant technology in particular.
