New application technology center: Hennecke expands its development capacity at Sankt Augustin headquarters

At Hennecke's new TECHCENTER, customers will from September be able to draw on state-of-the-art polyurethane processing technology for all applications across a surface of more than 1,000 square metres. The new applications technology center will be opened during the International Polyurethane Conference that is jointly organised by the Specialist Association Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes (FSK) and Hennecke. The symposium will take place in Bonn and at Hennecke's Sankt Augustin headquarters on 16 and 17 September.

Hennecke offers innovative systems and technologies that are geared to meet customer requirements in all conceivable applications. Without intensive and continuous research and development, this would not be possible. From the machinery and plant manufacturer's point of view, it is thus logical to establish a new application technology center at Sankt Augustin headquarters which places the focus on specific customer requirements on the one hand and in-house research on the other hand.

Apart from product development and product optimisation, the comprehensive service portfolio of the Hennecke TECHCENTER comprises process development and raw materials testing under close-toproduction conditions. Moreover, training, demonstrations to customers and matching tests will be carried out in the state-of-the-art application technology center. The process and machine technology available in the TECHCENTER covers high and low-pressure metering machines with up to six components and a large output range. It also includes plant technology for all processing variants in the area of polyurethane spray moulding (PUR-CSM) as well as systems engineering for the production of fibre-reinforced structural components (HP-RTM). In addition, machine and plant technology for various injection, moulded foam and insulation foam applications is provided to the customer.

Hennecke will celebrate the official opening of the TECHCENTER on the occasion of the International Polyurethane Conference, which is expected to be attended by more than 200 national and international representatives from the polyurethane industry. The two-day conference will be launched at the former Plenary Chamber of the German Parliament in Bonn. Accordingly, the discussion will focus on current environmental issues. The political debate will be framed by technical presentations from industry and research professionals. The emphasis will be on flexible foam applications in the automotive industry, optimised production lines for refrigerator doors as well as current developments and advances in lightweight construction. Another highlight will be the second conference day at Hennecke's company site, when Hennecke opens its doors to the whole PU world. In addition to the presentations, participants will enjoy live demonstrations and a tour of Hennecke's production facilities.
